I ran into one of my opponents, ex-military Col. Dean Franks. He is tough on alot of the policies I want to implement. Though I have all respect for the man, I highly doubt his Texas Free Land reform plan will work. I also am against his appropriation of funds to wild life refuges, parks, and zoos in the Dallas/Ft Worth area. Mr Franks wants to increase budget spending by 12% just to double the size of our state zoo! I feel this money could be better spent. Mr Franks spoke just after me at our assembly today. I can tell the crowd really enjoyed my speech though. I probably warmed them up.
