Day 1

Life on the campaign trail can be stressful. I knew it would be challenging but at times I wonder how I keep going; but I always do. Another day full of events and another 5am wake up call. I decided to spend my morning walking around talking to the people of this great town, trying to find out what they expect from their Texas State Senate representative. I had a nice chat with James Thompson, though I fear his enthusiasm may have been helped by his apparent inebriation. I ate a nice lunch at a local deli before giving a speech at a neighborhood church. I chose to take the rest of the day off to spend some time with my family, and hopefully gain some stability in the insanity that is the campaign trail.
